Woodland Festive Fox Cake and Funky Smash Cake!
In less than a month, my last sweet precious baby will turn 1 year old! I have begun the seemingly endless searching for the perfect cake and theme for his celebration. As I start to get all weepy and emotional about how my little Kaden has grown so quickly, I wanted to share some 1 year old birthday cakes with you 🙂
This adorable little Woodland Fox Cake was for my dear friend Rachel’s precious baby boy, Clark, who turned 1 on New Year’s Eve and we were blessed to join in the festivities! This cake is from the Wilton website which is FULL of tutorials but instead of being a smaller square cake, she asked it be a 9×13 to accommodate servings for all her guests.
This sweet babe has had a rollercoaster first year yet his mommy and daddy remain pillars of strength and hopefulness that with continued prayer, little Clark will soon be walking and chasing after his big brothers! Take a good look at Mr. Fox’s tail because Big Bro swiped it right before we ate supper! The amazing thing is that THIS time it wasn’t my Lil’ Leland who devoured a fondant detail! Bahahaha! Sorry Rach!

This was a fun little Funky Smash Cake I was asked to make for another family’s little man to celebrate his first birthday with a photo shoot! The mommy told me colors and away I went! Using my 1M Wilton star tip with bright blue, green, and orange vanilla buttercream, I piped this 2 layer 6″ round cake to entice the birthday boy to dig in!
Now the question of the month is, what will I do for my fourth and final baby’s 1st Birthday?! I’d LOVE to hear your ideas!! Please comment below with links to your ideas for my sweet boy, Kaden!
